CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
Saturday 25th July 2009
I should like to thank the Officers & Committee of the STBA for giving me the privilege & honour of judging this show, my first CC appointment.
The show had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the overall quality & presentation of the exhibits was very pleasing. I was thrilled that each CC winner had that all important 3rd ticket to gain their crown, Congratulations.
The weather turned out to be warm & sunny with judging taking place outside.
I really enjoyed my day………Thank You.
DOGS
Post Graduate Dog (3, 1a)
1stLewis’, Nomis Not Now
Well presented dog, with lots of quality and loads to like, nice head & dark eye, excellent neckline, well ribbed, first class angulation throughout, good topline & tail carriage, lovely coat & condition, moved well & soundly.
2nd: James’, Nileda Vanguard
Nice young dog, good head & neck with nice expression, low to ground, good bite, different type to 1,a shade longer in back, excellent bone, not as good in jacket , well muscled, moved ok.
Limit Dog (5, 3a)
1st:Hampson’s, Kamryan Hey Look At Me
Lovely boy of good make, ideal size, lovely head, good bite, neck & shoulders fitting cleanly into body, nice depth of chest, well muscled quarters, super topline & tail set held well on the move. Excellent coat & presentation, shown to full advantage, presented a nice picture, moved with drive.

2nd: Thomas’, Chalan Cheek Chap At Cibach
A handsome dog, with nice head & kind expression, has a lot to like about him, correct bite, excellent front & shoulder assembly, good depth of chest, tends to lose topline, powerful quarters, Good mover.

1st: Winsley’s, Davmar Duty Free
A dog that is oozing in type, up to size, lovely head with masculine expression, neck & shoulders that fit cleanly into body, nice depth of chest, excellent bone & substance, very good topline, well rounded quarters, very sound & balanced with that air of quality, so eye-catching on the move, showing himself off all the time giving everything & more, wonderful coat & condition, A pleasure to go over. Delighted to give him his 3rd CC & thus his title.

2nd: Horn’s, Ch. Eleighwater Prince Charles
Another well balanced dog, clean skull & neat ears, good neck & shoulders, well ribbed & sound quarters, level topline held on the move, nice bone lovely presentation, showed & moved soundly.
3rd: Hampson’s, Davmar Dollar Sh.CM
Veteran Dog (3, 1a)
1st: Winsley’s, Ch. & Am Ch. Penllyn Pimpernel
Lovely honest quality dog, with loads to like, still in great form, masculine head with good eye & expression, lovely flowing neckline, excellent shoulders & hindquarters, super topline and tail set, appealed for his build & soundness, nice muscle tone, moved well, excellent overall presentation.
2nd: Horn’s, Ch Pindaric Boy Oh Boy
Another nice dog of 9 years, close decision between 1 & 2 just preferred angulation of winner, lovely head & expression, nice neck & well laid shoulders, good bone & substance, excellent coat, moved out well.

Minor Puppy Bitch (1)
1st: Thomas’, Cibach Crescendo
A lot to like about this baby, just 7 mths old & such a sweetie, feminine head & eye with lovely expression, nice neck, good shoulders, topline yet to firm up, nice bone, for her first show, moved well. Shall watch her with interest.
Puppy Bitch (1)
1st: Jones’ & Thomas’, Cibach Candy Kisses
Attractive bitch with a lovely shaped head& ear set, correct bite, excellent well laid shoulders, good front, well sprung ribs making a pleasing shape all round, good coat, Moved with confidence & happily.

Junior Bitch (1)
1st: Thomas’, Cibach Careless Whisper
Pretty bitch with a nice head & expression, good front & shoulders with excellent spring of rib & depth of chest, good quality and balance, looses topline a little when stacked, nicely presented, moved well with drive.
Post Graduate Bitch (6,2a)
1st: Lewis’, Nomis New Day
Beautifully presented and sound bitch, super head qualities with kind eye, blue marked, correct front assembly, good bone, nice amount of rib, lovely quarters, excellent topline, moved well. Pressed hard for RCC but seemed unsettled in challenge as not with her usual handler, should have a promising future.
2nd:Winsley & Holmes, Polrose Paper Moon
Another nice bitch, pleasing head and eye, correct bite, straight front, excellent construction throughout, good level topline, excellent tail set, nicely presented, sound & confident on the move.
3rd:Harrison’s Erinswood,White Orchid
Limit (8, 2a)
1st: Longmate’s, Polrose Penny Black For Pendalin
Lovely quality bitch that has matured nicely, blue marked, super feminine head & expression with good ear placement, elegant clean neck & shoulders, good depth of body, with lovely overall construction, really impressive in profile, excellent coat & condition, presented to the minute, moved with ease around the ring, pleased to award her crowning CC.

Nice bitch of a different type, nice eye & depth of muzzle, a little stronger in head, good neck & shoulders, nice spring of rib, good coat, moved & showed well.
3rd: Wonnacott’s, Jacott Moonlight Serenade
Open Bitch (4,1a)
1st: Horn’s, Ch Zippor Forever Myfyanwy
A first class bitch in Tip Top condition, feminine head & gorgeous expression, excellent reach of neck, clean front, sound quarters, excellent topline presenting a lovely picture, free moving with drive. Super presentation & well handled.

2nd: Wonnacott’s, Jacott Starlight
A very feminine bitch who pressed hard for first place, beautifully presented in lovely coat & condition, lovely head shape, good reach of neck, excellent shoulder placement, and nice quarters, good type all through, moved really well.

1st: Wilkinson’s, Ch Churclo Concerto
A grand old lady of 13 years, a credit to her owner. A lovely shaped head, with excellent neck & shoulders, presented a balanced picture throughout,
did everything asked of her. Moved well.

2nd: Horn’s, Ch Zippor Welsh Lady
An honest quality bitch at almost 9 years old, feminine head with good eye & expression, excellent shoulders & front, well ribbed, ideal size did not move as well as winner today, very well presented.
